The Department of Political Science has been functioning from the opening of this college in 17thSeptember 1995. In the beginning there were few students and only one temporary faculty member. Dr. B.C. Awchite joined the college on 14/01/ 1999. After that Dr. Rekha R. Bane joined the college on December 1999.
Our college is located in socially, economically and educationally weaker area. Students are rural oriented and are not well prepared. They are poor in reading, writing and thinking. They do not have expression ability; it ultimately affects the academic performance and their interest in the subject like Political Science. Hence, it is necessary to change the attitude of the rural students.
The Department of Political Science is performing in Research activities.Department is continuously guiding and promoting to the students for various competitive examination like NET, SET, MPSC, Staff selection, Banking etc.
