The Department of philosophy has been functioning from the opening of this college in September 1995. In the beginning there were few students and only one temporary faculty member. Dr. S. B. Satpute joined the college on 01/12/ 1999.

Our college is located in socially, philosophically and educationally weaker area. Students are rural oriented and are not well prepared.  It is necessary to change the attitude of the rural students. The Department of philosophy is performing in Research activities. Hence the Department is continuously guiding and promoting to the students for various competitive examination like NET, SET, MPSC, Staff selection, Banking etc.
